Firstly, if you want to continue receiving our weekly updates, please fill in your profile for the GDPR that will be in effect next month. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the Masters weekend, as much as Patrick Reed isn’t to everyone’s taste he was certainly a worthy winner at the end of the week. He made the crucial putts down the stretch. Did anyone notice the driver in Reed's bag? A PING G400... the most sought after driver on the market currently for accuracy and distance. Here at Blackwood we have them available for testing in the pro shop so call down and see what you could gain.

Can you spare an hour of your time? Divoting evening had to be postponed, but this will now be going ahead on Monday, 16 April at 7:00pm. Our greenskeepers work very hard to prepare the golf course, so let’s give them a hand to look after it.

Course update... The weather has been kinder to us over the last few days, but we still are having spells of rain. Having said that we are starting to see some growth with a slight increase in temperature. This week the greens have been dressed on both courses and cut to 4mm. This will allow us to develop a more even surface and therefore a truer role. All green aprons have been fertilised and we hope to have all tees fertilised by Friday, 13 April. There has been a plan put in place to develop proper definition around our tee boxes and allow more natural growth in areas that it will help define the golf course.

You have nothing to fear Recently, you may have seen a few requests in our weekly emails asking you to create your golfing profile or confirm your email address for GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) purposes. As you might be aware, GDPR is new legislation coming into effect at the end of May, so we are taking the opportunity now to update your details. Not only does this give us the chance to confirm that we have your correct information, but it also provides us with the ability to personalise your weekly emails to suit your golfing preferences. If you have not yet updated your details, please do so now. It will take you less than a minute. |
